Lace tablecloth

Her grandmother’s lace tablecloth that frequented the table as a child is the background of a lion skull
and the future backing of other planned tattoos.

“There is comfort in honouring someone your own way.”

This woman also has a Serbian coat of arms tattooed on her upper middle back.
Within this tattoo is her father’s signature along with his birth and death date in Roman numerals.

The placement of her tattoo was chosen “because I wanted him watching my back.
Knowing [it was] there even though I couldn’t see it, there was this kind of layer of him there and his presence;
that’s where it seemed fitting to me.”
